We regret to announce that we will no longer be selling clothing and will instead focus entirely on our core business, natural care products. We think this is a pity because T-shirts, socks, trousers & co. have always been an integral part of the Soeder range - even one that goes back further in our history than soap!
Several reasons have led us to this decision, and they are closely linked. Their causes also lie in the structure of the international textile market. As we have written ourselves a few times, it's a jungle out there. And if you've ever been in a jungle, you'll know that you can sometimes only see a few meters. The search for materials that we can work with in good conscience is correspondingly time-consuming and requires a lot of research, because you often have to look behind the scenes: For example, just because cotton is grown organically does not necessarily mean that all aspects of sustainability are taken into account during its processing. And working sustainably is, as you know, our core philosophy.
This brings us to the next point: we were unable to produce our own clothing, so we turned to partners in other European countries. That's not really our way. We don't just want to be able to trace the entire production process for every Soeder product, we want to have control over it. And we have that when we manufacture in our own Factory in Schwerzenbach near Zurich.
But one thing is at least as important: we now have a little more time, of course. And we will use this time to concentrate fully on what we have become experts in over the last few years. At the moment, several new products are bubbling away in our cauldrons. We don't want to reveal exactly what they are yet, but just this: the scents that have been flowing through our hallowed halls in the last few months have been pretty great.
Because we need to clear our warehouse, we're offering a 70 percent discount on selected Soeder clothing. You can find the last pieces in our Zurich store on Limmatquai or Ankerstrasse. Our designs are unisex, timeless, and of high quality. You can purchase clothing for the coming cold days at a great price (have we already told you about our fabulous sweaters and our cuddly warm jackets?).
