Remember when you used to get a plastic bag in every store? Remember the time when almost every soft drink came with a plastic straw? Or how fast food came in non-recyclable Styrofoam boxes and coffee always came in paper cups? All that is history, not just in Switzerland, but in many countries around the world. And that is the right thing to do. The problem of packaging is one that can certainly not always be solved, but quite often.

The magic word is: recycling. Instead of the plastic bag, we use cloth bags (or our backpack). No one really misses the straws. And for fast food, as well as for to-go drinks, there are now numerous providers of reusable packaging systems. We are happy to join in: You can have most of our natural care products refilled quickly and easily at our more than 80 refill stations. This is how we ensure that our brown glass bottles have a long life cycle.

At the same time, it is also important to question your own consumption behavior. Of course, we don't want to tell you not to buy something, then we would be bad merchants. But what we do ask of you: Don't buy mindlessly. Think about whether you really need the things you like. When buying, think about whether they are made in such a way that they will last for a long time. And if at some point you discover that you don't like them as much as you thought, pass them on. Because the biggest step in sustainability is the product that doesn't have to be manufactured again.

By the way, this is also a challenge for us as a company. We think every day about where we can do better, how we can improve our ecological footprint. There is a lot to do, let's tackle it together.
