MACHINE WASH
choose a organic mild detergent
do not use fabric softeners as they influence the wool fibers performance
to protect knit loops we recommend to use a wash bag
stretch back to shape when wet if needed
do not tumble dry
flat dry on a towel to keep shape
let nature dry your garment away from direct heat

HAND WASH
choose a organic mild detergent
wash in lukewarm or cold water
soak for 3-5 minutes
carefully push water through garment without twisting or wringing, as this could stretch the knit
rinse twice in clean water, same temperature as wash water
remove excess water carefully and roll garment in a towel to absorb as much water as possible
stretch back to shape when wet if needed
flat dry on a towel to keep shape
let nature dry your garment away from direct heat

WOOL CHARACTERISTICS
because the wool fibers are covered with a wax called lanolin it has a natural protection from dirt and dust
instead of washing the garment you can first try to shake and/or spot clean stains carefully
a pure wool fiber will transport humidity through the fiber and self clean
if you have some unwanted smell in your garment you can for example leave it overnight in fresh air or in the bathroom after/during a shower to absorb the humid air, this also helps to smooth out wrinkles
likes to be stored folded and flat

PILLING
washing and wearing of wool fabrics can cause pilling, this is loose fibers making it´s way to the surface of fabric and by abrasion the fibers develop into small bundles
this do not effect the functionality of the garment but if you do not like the look it can easily be removed with a pilling comb or a fabric shaver. Our shaver may be used in our stores in Basel and Zurich
The pilling will get less and go away over time.
